The buildings of the VLIZ are former warehouses of the fish auction hall of Oostende and are located on the eastern bank of the port. The VLIZ can be found completely in the back of the covered fish auction building, in the warehouses by the waterside. The buildings offer a view of the port channel and the city centre of Oostende.
