About VLIZ

VLIZ Thesis Award for Marine Sciences

Every year the VLIZ awards two marine Master theses. Fundamental as well as applied marine researchers in all disciplines of marine sciences can apply. The prize amounts to 500 EUR and is reserved for young scientists that are graduated at a Flemish university or college for higher education.

More details can be found in the regulations (in Dutch) or at info@vliz.be. To be taken into consideration for the award, the candidates should provide the following documents to the VLIZ before the 10th of October 2009:
  • one copy of the Master thesis
  • a summary in Dutch of maximally 5 pages (also in electronic form)
  • the filled out participation form (to be received at the VLIZ infodesk or to download)
  • the curriculum vitae of the author
