In the framework of some projects, the datacentre sends out newsletters on a regular base

• MarBEF news bulletin :

  All recent posted news items on the MarBEF website or items about marine biodiversity in Europe sent via e-mail to the webmaster are bundled and are sent out in principle weekly to all subscribers. One can also find an overview of new vacancies in the job database. There are already 1600 people subscribed to the MarBEF news bulletin. Since the start of the project in 2004, 175 newsletters are sent out.

• ScheldeMonitor E-service :

  This e-service is sent out in the framework of the ScheldeMonitor project. An overview of new literature, datasets and projects in our IMIS information system, about research and monitoring on the Scheldt-estuary is sent out two monthly. At the moment there are 150 subscribers. Since the start of the e-service in 2006, already 18 newsletters came out.

• ENCORA and BeNCoRe :

  On an irregular base, a newsletter is sent out from the ENCORA and BeNCoRe network with the most recent news items that are posted on the BENCORE website or messages about coastal research in Belgium that were sent to the webmaster. In Belgium, 500 persons receive this newsletter at the moment.

• Crisis centre for birds and wild animals newsletter :

  From the crisis centre, a digital newsletter is sent out on a regular base with facts from the crisis centre in Ostend or messages that they received. [only Dutch]

• VLIZINE :

  With this e-zine the VLIZ wants to inform about their own activities and those of the research and policy groups that are active in Flanders in marine and coastal sciences. Since the year 2000, already 55 e-zines are sent out. At the moment 1200 persons are subscribed to the VLIZINE. [only Dutch]

• Library acquisitions :

  From the VLIZ library an overview with all new acquisitions is sent out on a weekly basis. At the moment we have already 404 issues. The library acquisitions counts 313 subscribers now.
