VLIZ Newsletter
The VLIZ Newsletter was distributed three times a year in 1500 copies. It was meant to inform the VLIZ members and others interested about our activities. New projects, events, purchases and trends in the Marine Library, the Flemish Marine Data and Information Centre, the Infodesk, the research vessel ‘Zeeleeuw and VLIZ in general were documented with a lot of pictures. Also a detailed file was composed on a topic related to the sea or coast. In each issue we also shed light on one of the 70 research groups present in Flanders and interviewed a person with a well-established reputation in the marine research of our region.
The first newsletter was published in October 2000, and was widely distributed to the research environment, the administration, the local, regional and national policy makers, press and others interested. A screening, prior to the management agreement 2005-2009, gave cause to a new communication strategy. It implied that the publication of the VLIZ Newsletters was stopped and that more time and effort was invested in the VLIZ website and the information magazine for the general public ‘ De Grote Rede’.
You will find a listing and further details on the different issues published on this page (in Dutch).
