One of the immediate results of the new cooperation agreement between ILVO Fisheries and VLIZ is the transfer of the ILVO library collection to the VLIZ library. This unique collection -containing the most important international fishery science journals, all reports of the former Department of Sea Fisheries, and all reports edited in cooperation with ICES- has been added immediately to the central IMIS-database of VLIZ. You can search this collection directly by going to the VLIZ Library pages, select the option “ILVO Library” in the VLIZ-collection box, and start searching. All references in this collection can be requested in the same way as for the VLIZ-collection by sending a mail to library@vliz.be.

Gradually, the monograph collection of the ILVO-library will also be added to the IMIS-database. In this way, an important set of reference books on fishery science, fish processing, -storage and –preservation, and aquaculture will become available for the public. This cooperation project will enable ILVO-fisheries to become and stay the benchmarking provider of all fishery-related information in Flanders.
