Marine Library

Our services

It is not possible to borrow publications, but all documents can be consulted and copied (except for complete books) in the library.

The Marine Library organises a document delivery service. This service enables you to request all titles from our library as well as all marine publications that are not part of our collection. Copies of articles can be sent to you by e-mail (PDF), post or fax. Books from other libraries can be consulted on site upon request. The costs of this system can be found here.

Please use this form to submit a request. Try to be as complete as possible as this will enable us to find the publication you are looking for more quickly.

In our capacity as a national ASFA input centre we have web access to the ASFA database (1970-present). You can consult this database in the library and print your search results or forward them to your own e-mail address. VLIZ members can also send us a maximum of 5 ASFA search terms per question. We then enter the terms in the ASFA database and e-mail the results to you afterwards. Please send your search terms to library@vliz.be.

Naturally, you can also consult our collection in the library. If you notify us of your visit in advance by e-mail or at +3259/342130, we will gladly make some extra time to personally assist you.
