Our coast... Tides
Several sites offer tidal tables for the Belgian coast, or at least for selected harbours:
- On the site of the Flemisch Hydrographic department of MDK you can also find a two days' tide prediction (for Oostende and Zeebrugge); not only of the astronomic tide, but also the expected tidal heights (taking into account other factors like wind direction and speed).
- This website of the Flemisch Hydrographic department lists downloads of tide tables (choose left 'getijtafels' and 'lijst'at the top) for the current year, and from September on for the forthcoming year. For 2008 the astronomic predictions are offered in a pdf-format in TAW & GLLWS and in TAW & LAT for seven locations: Oostende, Zeebrugge, Nieuwpoort, Vlissingen, Prosperpolder, Antwerpen and Wintam. For 2009 the tide predictions are expressed in TAW and available for Nieuwpoort, Oostende, Blankenberge and Zeebrugge.
