The posters 'Hard substrates at the Belgian coast’ and 'Commercial species landed in Belgian harbours’ are the first published in a series. On each poster you can find pictures of the 30 most important or prominent marine animal and plant species of divers habitats along our coast or at sea.

The poster 'Hard substrates at the Belgian coast’ was developed in cooperation with the Coastal Division of MD&K. 'Commercial species landed in Belgian harbours’ is a product of the collaboration with the Institute for Agricultural and Fisheries Research and the Friends of the North Sea Aquarium.

Within the new series in development we will depict the 30 most important or prominent marine animal and plant species of divers habitats along our coast or at sea (with their correct scientific name and vernacular names in 4 languages). With the high quality pictures (from nature photographer Misjel Decleer) and by selecting only the most common species, we meet the demands of the public.

The A1-posters (60 x 89 cm) can be collected at VLIZ at production cost of 3EUR a piece.
