Portal to enhance international mobility of researchers
Added on 2006-02-21 12:33:39

Europe aims to become a world most dynamic ‘knowledge-based economy’ by 2010. Stimulating the mobility of researchers plays a key role in this process. The European community has launched two initiatives to promote this new mobility strategy. ERA-MORE (the European Network of Mobility Centres) assists the researchers and their family in their professional and daily activities in the host country. The ERA-MORE network now encloses 33 national networks and more than 200 mobility centers. The Belgian network of mobility centers, named Mercator Network, is launched officially on 19th September. A Flemish network, as part of the Belgian network, is run by the Flemish Science and Innovation Administration (AWI.
