Op vrijdag 25 februari ontmoetten 333 mariene wetenschappers uit Vlaanderen en omstreken elkaar tijdens de elfde editie van de VLIZ Jongerencontactdag Mariene Wetenschappen op de site Oud-Sint Jan in Brugge. De dag zat vol verrassende pitch praatjes en een uitgebreide postersessie. Zo kregen de deelnemers een mooi overzicht van het nieuwste, lopende mariene en kustgebonden onderzoek. Het publiek kon stemmen voor de beste spreker en poster. Ook de laureaten van de VLIZ Award kregen even het podium. In wat volgt nog eens alle winnaars op een rijtje en veel foto's van het evenement.

In het abstractenboek krijg je aan de hand van de 94 ingezonden abstracts een mooi overzicht van het lopende mariene onderzoek. Twintig inzenders werden uitgekozen om in de plenaire sessie een korte pitch presentatie te geven van maximaal 5 minuten. De anderen konden hun werk voorstellen tijdens de postersessie. Het aanwezige publiek kon hun stem uitbrengen voor het beste praatje en de beste wetenschappelijke poster.
