The Provincial Palace (Provinciaal Hof) has a separate entrance with a platform lift for wheelchair users.                                             

All exhibition rooms are accessible.

 

Parking

Persons who have a parking card for people with disabilities can park their car in Bruges for free and without limitation at:

  • reserved parking spaces for disabled people;
  • parking spaces within the blue zone;
  • payable parking spaces (except at the kiss and ride areas near the railway station);
  • ring road car parks

The following parking spaces are closest to Provinciaal Hof:

  • Two reserved parking spaces for disabled people at Philipstockstraat 3, at 63 metres from Provinciaal Hof.
  • Two reserved parking spaces for disabled people at Burg 5, at 260 metres from Provinciaal Hof.
  • The nearest underground car park is Parking Biekorf (access via Naaldenstraat), at about 350 metres from Provinciaal Hof.

Visually impaired visitors

Recognised assistance dogs are allowed inside to accompany a disabled person. These dogs must be clearly identifiable (identification jacket, harness or special leash).

 

Visitors with a hearing disability

Visitors with a hearing disability will get sufficient visual input by means of the visual materials present and can explore the exhibition thanks to the text panels.
