The conference will specifically focus on the following themes: ‘Ocean and human health’, ‘The digital age of ocean literacy’ and ‘Future scenarios and roles for Ocean Literacy’.

Prior to the 3-day conference, local Maltese teachers will have a hand-on training day on how to bring more ocean into lessons and curricula. This workshop is co-organized by the Flanders Marine Institute (VLIZ) within the framework of the European Sea Change Project.
