Description:
    The international workshop Formation and Migration of Dunes has been organsied in Tunisia in 1999 and in Mauritania in 2001. It will take place in 2004 in Morocco under the responsability of Ibn Zohr University (Agadir), that has scientific collaboration with Ecole Normale Supérieure de Paris, Université Pierre et Marie Curie, Université de Rennes I, Faculté des Sciences et Techniques de Nouakchott and Cemagref de Grenoble. It is a scientific event bringing together periodically searchers and international experts around the problem of dunes, understood in all its pluridisciplinary aspects, from the dynamics of granular material to the fight again sand invasion. The workshop is conceived as a federative collaboration North-South bringing the interest of the international community on the problem of desertification, actual threat against the developpment of Great Maghreb countries.
    The workshop is a open to the various specialists of applied and fundamental research, the talks being submitted to a scientific commity before being accepted in the forthcoming program. It is funded by EU, CNRS, NASA, etc and by the moroccan organisms that will cover the general expenses. The trip, food and lodging expenses should be covered by the participants themselves or by their labs.
