|Sum (before Groep Planning) has long been one of the leading design and study offices, recognised for its distinct contribution to architectural and spatial discussion. Today it delivers constructions for private and public clients in Flanders and Brussels. It produces studies which, contribute to the spatial policy of more than a hundred municipalities, towns and higher-level government bodies, both in Belgium and abroad.
The firm’s experience, creativity and insistence on research enables it to provide high-quality answers for the most demanding clients. More than ever the firm is continuing to develop the disciplines of architecture, structural engineering, town planning, mobility and ecological and social planning. All these disciplines can be combined in house to suit the requirements of the project.. Commissions are analysed within Sum on both a macro and a micro scale. Clear project proposals assist the development of a substantive dialogue with the client. The group always aims to provide the highest possible quality and to create substantial added value for each client, while ensuring an adequate response to any prescribed limiting conditions.
