Abstract:
The department of Mechanics of Materials and Constructions (MeMC) studies the mechanical behaviour of innovative material systems and lightweight constructions under complex loading conditions by means of (combined) experimental testing and advanced numerical modeling. This is conducted in close collaboration with national and international academic and industrial partners.

The marine research focuses on fatigue assessment of offshore wind turbines using response estimation techniques.
