Tina Molodtsova her research is focused on the taxonomy, biogeography and biology of two groups of anthozoans: tube anemones (Ceriantharia) and black corals (Antipatharia) and these are the two groups for which she is taxonomic editor in WoRMS. She is mostly interested in routine taxonomy with revision of previously known taxa and description of new species. She is employed in PP Shirshov Institute of Oceanology RAS since 1997 after her studentship. Most of her projects are in the deep-sea however she has few shallow water projects. Her involvement in database experience and international collaboration began in 1999, when she participated in Daphne’s Fautin project Hexacorallians of the world as an expert in Ceriantharia and then Antipatharia. The project was later incorporated in many datasets including WoRMS and OBIS. As a part of P.P. Shirshov Institute team she was also involved in a number of biodiversity projects including those of Census of Marine Life and now I am a national representative of the International Association for Biological Oceanography (IABO).
