Abstract
Bilateral scientific and technological co-operation with the Universidad de Los Lagos - Department of Basic Sciences, Chili. Co-promoted by Gajardo Gonzalo.
R&D with regard to : - nutritional quality of live feed for marine fish and shellfish larve; - manipulation of broodstock nutrition for improved quality of offspring; - genetic and phenotypical characterisation of brine shrimp, Artemia strains. Training and education in the same fields.

- Improve culture of larval fish and molluscs.
- Optimalization culture of native species.
- Identification of new Artemia habitats.
- Genetic characterization of Artemia populations.
- Investigate the suitability of Artemia strains for aquaculture.
