Abstract
The analysis of the various mercury compounds in natural ecosystems necessitates an optimal functioning clean-lab. These analyses are part of ongoing projects such as "sustainable management of the North-Sea", "Arsene- and mercury species in fish" and "Maintenance and use of the laboratorium container on board of the Belgica". Accurate and reproducible analyses are also a basic need with regard to submitted proposals. In the summer months, however, such measurements are not possible in the clean lab without a cooling system.
