Abstract
Predictor techniques have been presented, whereby it is possible to compute onshore-offshore and longshore sediment transports respectively. These respective techniques can be used in combination to compute sediment losses in numerous applications. One such application, viz. to a beachfill problem, was described in detail. The results were shown to be realistic. A comparison of computed results with actual field measurements at a beachfill location will be the logical next step in the testing of the tecniques.
