Abstract
    A redescription of Terebra castigata Cooke, 1885 is given. A lectotype is selected from among the syntypes in the McAndrew collection of the University of Cambridge. The species seems to be confined to the Northern part of the Red Sea incl. the Gulf of Suez and the Gulf of Elat.
