Abstract
    The results of this study show that the addition of different phytohormones to theculture medium caused differences on the size and shape of Chondrus crispusfronds. The effects of indole-acetic acid (IAA), indolebutyric acid (IBA),naphthalene-acetic acid (NAA) and benzylaminopurine (BAP) were studied.Culture medium with indole-acetic acid or indole-butyric acid caused the mainchanges in relation to control. With AIA, the fronds were highest and with wholesheet. On the other hand, naphthalene-acetic acid had not caused changes in theform and size. With benzylaminopurine, the fronds were shorter than control andwith whole sheet.
