Abstract
An economic survey of fish markets in the capital city of El Salvador is described. The primary purpose was to test the effectiveness and feasibility of applying modern economic methods to fish markets in a developing country. The secondary purpose was twofold: to create an in-country capability for collecting and processing such data, and to use the data collected in an analysis of the efficiency of the fish marketing sector.
