Abstract
This book discusses alternatives for dredged material use and placement. “What should be done with removed sediment?”. Based on a comprehensive review of the literature in the field covering a wide range of dredged material — both clean and contaminated — they have assembled clear and in-depth answers. As they make clear in this book, fortunately “dredged material is increasingly regarded as a resource rather than a waste”.
