Abstract
In this chapter, the author describes general activity patterns among wintering shorebirds and then to concentrate mostly on foraging activity. Some of the abiotic and biotic influences that affect shorebird foraging, and discuss these effects also. Finally, she will briefly discuss optimal foraging theory with respect to studies done on shorebird foraging.
