Abstract
Ascent and descent profiles of ichthyoplankton obtained with a Longhurst-Hardy Plankton Recorder (LHPR) were compared using a Wilcoxon paired signed ranks test. No significant differences were found thus providing evidence to endorse the validity of sampling of the LHPR for fish eggs and larvae.
