Abstract
Eighty-two (82) vessel-trips made by US-registered purse-seine vessels were observed during 1988. Data on the incidental kill of small cetaceans were collected by the National Marine Fisheries Service and the Inter-American Tropical Tuna Commission. The composition of the kill is presented in this report by area, species and sex. For specimens with life history information collected, the report also presents the length distribution by species and sex, and the reproductive condition of females.
