Abstract
The density and zonation of intertidal polychaetes and molluscs were studied on a muddy shore at Öydegard some 15 km SE of Kristiansund. Eight localities between MLWS and MHWN were investigated, one with a 0.1 m² frame and the rest with a 0.25 m² frame. Of the 18 species found, three were dominant and the results showed a typical Macoma balthica community ("a boreal shallow mud association").
