Abstract
A taxonomic survey was made comparing fish populations in dredged and undredged segments of Bœuf River within northeast Louisiana. Collecting was done with seines, rotenone application, and by electro-fishing. There was a substantial decrease in abundance of some species in the dredged areas, especially some genera within the families Cyprinidae, Centrarchidae and Ictaluridae.
