Abstract
The authors study the population structure, the age and growth of samples of Liza ramada (Mugilidae) caught along the coast of Languedoc ("Gold fond"), in the sea (Camon area) and in the rivers Rhone and Petit-Rhone and they compare their results with those obtained in Egypt, Tunisia and in different parts of the eastern Atlantic. The different age-classes of the fishes occupy different biotopes.
