Abstract
A collection of holdfasts of the washed ashore sea weed Himanthalia elongata, September 2012, has been checked for bryozoans and compared with the result of a similar exercise in July 2000. Conclusions are had to formulate, but one obvious result of 2012 is a frequency of 20% of the alien Watersipora subtorquata, still absent in 2000.
