Abstract
Two new species, Krishnapsyllus furcavaricatus and Kunzia bispinosa from the coast of Tansania, Krishnapsyllus being a new genus, are described. Krishnapsyllus furcavaricatus is the first species among the Harpacticoidea provided with furcal branches capable of movements. The two furcal branches can be spread out up to an angle of 110 degrees. This movement is produced by a pair of strong muscles situated at the 4th abdominal segment.
