Abstract
A diverse bryozoan fauna is described from two boreholes from the Kurgan Region, Russia, containing rocks of Lower Carboniferous (Tournaisian-Viséan) age. The bryozoan assemblage includes 13 fenestellids and 5 rhabdomesines, of which one species is new: Pseudonematopora sibirica n. sp. The studied fauna shows the most similarity to the fauna of the southwest of Western Siberia and Kazakhstan, the Kuznetsk Basin of Russia, and the United States of America.
