Abstract
The fishes brought home by the Lund University Chile Expedition 1948–49 and kept in the Natural History Museum in Gothenburg include a small but interesting collection of subantarctic species belonging to the families Bovichthyidae, Nototheniidae, and Zoarcidae from the Magallanes area and the Archipiélago de los Chonos, which conveniently may be published separately. Some species belonging to the named families are, however, also present in the material obtained further northwards, up to Chiloé, and for the sake of taxonomic comparison they are also included in this report.
