Abstract
New oriental Aleocharinae. This paper adds further new species and genera to our knowledge of the fauna of India and the Indonesian and Philippine islands. New genus for the Oriental region: Longiprimitarsus Eichelbaum (subg. Penichradoxus n.). The new genus Euliodota is described to include Atheta rufolucida Cameron (its relationship is with the genus Pseudoxypoda Cameron) and a new genus Borneoxenia is described to include Atheta mjoebergi Cameron. Two new genera of the tribe Zyrasini, Bothriocrata and Oxylidia, and three new genera of the tribe Aleocharini, Lyperosterochara, closely allied to Creochara Cameron, Oxybessoglossa, allied to Pseudoplandria Fenyes and Ilarochara, closely allied to Tetrasticta Fenyes and Ilarochara, closely allied to Tetrasticta, are described. In all, 57 species new to science are added. The major diagnostic characters of the new genera and new species are illustrated.
