| Abstract |
A fossiliferous marine limestone lens within the largely continental "Couches rouges" of the Anoual Syncline (eastern High Atlas Mountains, Morocco) has yielded a rich fauna of therian and non-therian mammals. The accompanying hybodontoid shark teeth are described as Lissodus marocensis sp. nov. and Egertonodus basanus (EGERTON, 1845). The latter species suggests an age within the Early Cretaceous, most probably Valanginian to Aptian, for the fauna |
