Abstract
A description is given of Quadriacanthus kearni n.sp. and Q. clariadis clariadis Paperna 1979, monogeneans from the gills of Clarias lazera inhabiting Nile Delta waters in Egypt. Particular attention has been paid to the internal anatomy particularly the reproductive system and haptoral sclerites in comparison with the corresponding organs in other Quadriacanthus species particularly Q. aegypticus which was recently described in detail by El-Naggar and Serag (in press) from the same host in Egypt.
