Abstract
More than fifty ostracod species, twenty-two of which are Entomozoacea, have been identified in the upper part of the Teferguenite Formation and in the Marhouma Formation. The zonal sequence established on the Entomozoacea is applicable to the Frasnian and the Famennian of the Algerian Sahara; seven zones are recognized. One new species, Tubulibairdia marhoumaensis nov. sp., is described.
