Abstract
    The author describes the Weberian apparatus of the marine Cretaceous teleost Clupavus maroccanus and debates about the phylogenetic relationships of Clupavus within the Ostariophysi and with three other archaic marine Otophysi, Lusitanichthys, Chanoides and Salminops.
