Abstract
This paper describes the development and calibration of a two-dimensional hydrodynamic model of the port of Terneuzen. The model is calibrated using a cost function against a combination of water level, discharge and ADCP data. The calibrated model is used to calculate flow fields for the ship manoeuvring simulator of Flanders Hydraulics Research (FHR). The use of an unstructured grid allows for local grid refinement in the study area.
