Abstract
    This bulletin is an attempt to synthesize current knowledge on storm surges. It is directed to researchers on this topic, butm aterial of practical interest is also included. It deals with all the meteorological and oceanographic aspects of storm surge sand makes extensive use of numerical finite-difference methods. In addition, analytical methods, empirical methods, graphical techniques, statistical techniques, finite-element methods, and laboratory and hydraulic models are discussed.
