Abstract
A new free-living marine nematode Biarmifer madrynensis sp. n. (Cyatholaimidae) is described from sediments of the Golfo Nuevo coast (West Patagonia, Argentina). It may be distinguished from the other two species of the genus (B. cochleatus and B. laminatus) by cephalic setae length, amphid size, flagellate tail and number of precloacal supplementary organs. A redefinition and a key to species of the genus Biarmifer is given.
