Abstract
A survey of the marine wood-borers of the Golfe du Morbihan (South Brittany, France) reveals the presence of three teredinids Molluscs (Lyrodus pedicellatus, Teredo navalis and Nototeredo norvegica), one isopod Crustacea (Limnoria quadripunctata) and one amphipod Crustacea (Chelura terebrans). Limnoria tripunctata was found in abundance in a stranded creosoted board, whose origin was not known. Lyrodus is by far the most abundant Teredinidae. With Teredo and Limnoria, it causes damages mainly to the chestnut poles used in oyster-farms. Some information about wood-borers biology and epibionts is given.
