Abstract
Mimachlamys sanguinea (Linnaeus, 1758) [= senatoria (Gmelin, 1791 )], Fam. Pectinidae, is here recorded for the first time from two localities along the Mediterranean coast of Israel. This species should be placed on the list of Lessepsian migrants present in the Eastern Mediterranean off Israel.
