Abstract
A new species of Pseudostomella is described from sublittoral sands of the southern coast of Bahia State, Brazil. Pseudostomella squamalongispinosa sp. nov. is 310–320 µm long and is distinguished from its congeners by the following autapomorphies: presence of pentancre scales from the middle of the body to the pedicles, with the central ancre longer than the other four, and 19 pairs of dorsolateral adhesive tubes, including two pairs in the pharyngeal region (plus two club-shaped tubes) and up to 17 pairs in the trunk, and one pair of posterior dorsolateral adhesive tubes.
