Abstract
The authors describe the new finding of several intertidal colonies of a stylasterid species belonging to the genus Distichopora in two areas in North Sulawesi: Bangka Island (01°46.121'N, 125°10.559'E) and Talise Island (01°53.233'N, 125°10.559'E). Bangka Island shows a semi-diurnal tide with a maximum range of about 2.80 m during spring tide and a maximum range of about 0.5 m during neap tide.
