Abstract
Females belonging to 4 species of Rotifers: Epiphanes senta (Ehrbg), Brachionus leydigii Cohn, Euchlanis dilatata Ehrbg and E . triquetra Ehrbg. Were observed during their whole life. The successive eggs formed by those females were followed up since they were visible in the uterus to their hatching, and the duration of their development was noted. In spite of certain individual variations, we have observed that the duration of development increases with the age of the females. The « time of generation », (i.e. : the period separating the hatching of a young female and the hatching of her first egg), seems to be constant for females of the same species reared in the same conditions.
