Abstract
    Progressive individualisation of the adductors of the lower jaw in Percoidea can be expressed at least in two ways. It is perhaps in relation with the increased refinements of buccal movements and is probably one of the main ways in the fast adaptive radiation of Cichlids in Great Lakes of Africa.
