Abstract
    This report discusses the first part of the second subcontract of tender WL/12/30 that is performed by NUMFLO/NUMECA at Flanders Hydraulic Research (FHR). This project investigates the numerical simulation of a container ship in regular waves (seakeeping).

    This subcontract focuses on the seakeeping simulations of container ship C0W at two different UKCs, velocities and drift angles. The CFD results will be compared with towing tank data. The optimal mesh and solver settings of the previous subcontract are applied first. If necessary, the computational environment will be tuned in order to get an optimal correspondence with experimental data.
