Abstract
The Author describes a new species of the genus Lyrodus Gould, 1870, from Subie Bay in Luzon (Philippines), to which the name Lyrodus auresleporis n. sp. has been given. A new subgenus Rochia n. subgen. has also been established to distinguish this entity from the other Lyrodus s.s.. Lyrodus (Rochia) auresleporis is peculiar in having two calcareous elements which extend like hare ears from the distal upper border of the pallets. Type-specimens have been deposited in the malacological collection of the Museo Civico di Storia Naturale of Venice, while a paratype is to be found in the personal collection of the Author.
