Abstract
    A reexamination of the available data on the stratigraphie range of Alvania heraelaciniae Ruggieri, shows that this small Gastropod appeared since the Early Pliocene. Some specimens of A. heraelaciniae have been recently observed also in deep water sediments of Middle Pliocenic age in Sicily.
